A quick guide to beautiful hands
Some people have more attractive hands than others. The reason: they spend more time taking care of them. But even if you wash dishes or spend your days digging in the garden, your hands can look and feel better.
The main ingredient is time. And, of course, a basic kit that contains nail polish remover with oil, a nail file, eight-hour cream, baby oil, a nail brush, a cuticle file, nail polish and hand lotion.
- Make sure your nails are dry when you file them.
- File your nails from the sides upwards towards the tip in one direction.
- Always wash your hands in lukewarm water.
- Use extra rich lotion on your cuticles. Make a habit of doing it when you go to bed so that you won’t have to have greasy hands during the day.
- Massage your hands when you’re sitting on the bus, watching TV, attending a lecture or any other time when you’re sitting still. Or take turns massaging a friend’s hands and being massaged.
- Use hand lotion regularly.
- Use gloves made of natural fibres when it’s cold.
- Treat yourself to a hand bath. Pour a little baby oil in lukewarm water.
- Use a cuticle file; it’s gentler than cuticle scissors.
- Use nail polish even if you want a natural look. Clear nail polish protects and gives your hands a healthy look.
